Primary Rhinoplasty – Female in Her 20s
Goals
This patient in her 20s wanted a smaller, softer, and more feminine nose. Her goals were a gentle dorsal curve, a narrower bridge, and a smaller, more refined tip with slight upward rotation, while maintaining a natural appearance that fit her face.
Procedure
I performed a closed rhinoplasty, reducing the dorsal hump and narrowing the nasal bones to create a softer, more refined bridge. The nasal tip was narrowed, refined, and rotated upward. A vertical strut and bilateral alar rim grafts were used to provide support and maintain the new tip shape.
Outcome
She now has a smaller, more feminine nose with a soft nasal bridge and a narrower, more refined and slightly rotated tip. The result is a cute, balanced nose that complements her facial features. She is very happy with her new look.
Key Principle
Creating a smaller, more feminine nose does not mean simply removing more cartilage. Over-resection can weaken the nasal framework and compromise the shape over time. The goal is to conservatively reduce and reshape the nose while maintaining and, when necessary, reinforcing its structural support. This allows us to create a softer, more refined nose while aiming for a stable, long-term result.
