Functional & Cosmetic Rhinoplasty | Female, 30s

Goals: Improve nasal breathing while creating a softer, cuter, and more feminine nose that remained natural and balanced with her face. She presented with nasal obstruction, a deviated septum, dorsal hump, an overprojected nose, and a wide, slightly hanging tip. The goal was to refine the nose without overdoing it, allowing her eyes and smile to become more prominent.

Procedure: Open rhinoplasty with septoplasty, spreader grafts, septal extension graft, bilateral alar rim grafts, cephalic trim, and dome-binding sutures. The tip was narrowed, elevated, and carefully repositioned to improve projection and rotation while maintaining structural support and nasal function.

Outcome: A softer, more feminine and balanced nose with a refined bridge and a narrower, more appropriately rotated tip. Her nose now complements her eyes and smile while maintaining a natural appearance. Most importantly, she is very happy with her new nose and breathes well.

Key Principle: The septal extension graft provides precise control of tip position and rotation while creating stable long-term support. In this case, it allowed us to create a softer, more feminine tip without sacrificing structural stability or nasal breathing.
