Goals: Improve body contours to fit more comfortably in her clothes and enhance breast volume and proportions. Given her young age and plans for possible future pregnancies, she preferred to avoid a tummy tuck despite having some abdominal skin laxity.
Procedure: Liposuction 360 was performed to contour the abdomen, waist, flanks, and back, combined with breast augmentation. We discussed the limitations of liposuction, particularly the possibility of residual loose skin and contour irregularities due to her existing skin quality.
Outcome: Significant improvement in waist definition and overall body contour, along with enhanced breast proportions. Although some skin contraction occurred following liposuction, residual skin laxity and irregularities remained, as anticipated. The procedure achieved her primary goals without requiring an abdominoplasty.
Key Principle: Plastic surgery does not always need to address every concern at once. Sometimes, achieving meaningful improvements today while postponing other procedures until they better align with a patient’s lifestyle and future plans is the more appropriate approach. The goal is to balance aesthetic improvement with realistic expectations and each patient’s individual priorities.
